Professional indemnity
insurance indemnifies you from the legal liability and legal
defence costs you may incur as a result of breaching a duty of
care to your clients.
Classed as a ‘traditional’ profession, the Royal Institute of
British Architects recognises the importance of the work done by
members and the title ‘Architect’ is protected, so that only
practices regulated by the governing body may use it. The
governing body is the Architects Registration Board (ARB) and
the ARB sets the guidelines and minimum standards for
Professional Indemnity Insurance for Architects.
Blackfriars Insurance will provide ARB compliant quotations to ARCHITECTS in
respect of their professional indemnity insurance, working with
a panel of insurers who understand fully the disciplines and
operations involved within the industry.
Blackfriars access a panel of insurers, Lloyds
Underwriters and schemes to enable us to provide professional indemnity
insurance and professional liability insurance. The response rate of
insurance companies varies and for this reason we operate a system of
offering quotations to you as soon as we obtain what we consider to be
competitive terms, we then automatically update you with any
improvements that we make on these terms to ensure that you receive the
most competitive quotation that we are able to offer for your
professional indemnity and errors and omissions insurance.
